Finally got a new tv with built in freeview.
Found the analogue channels but it was unable to find any digital channels. We have a set-top box downstairs with freeview so know I can recieve it.
May it be I need a new, digital capable, indoor aerial? The one i'm using is very old!

Some tvs have seperate aerial connections for digital. Are you sure you plugged the aerial in the correct aerial socket to receive them?
ALL aerials are 'digital capable' regardlss of what others may say.
Are you trying to connect via a roof aerial or an indoor one? (It really should abe a the roof kind, as its a much stronger and cleaner signal).

  • Have you set it to search for digital channels? My set needs to be set to search for analogue and digital separately

Have checked the connection and I got it right, and yep did the search.
We have a loft aeirel. The downstairs tv, plugged into the point, always had a good analogue signal and the freeview box works fine.
My indoor aeirel i'm using is about 8 years old I think, before Freeview was invented! Also the cable has come out of the plastic bit and I either stick it back in or just use the loose wire.
  • On my t.v i have to change the channel from dtv (digital tv) to atv (analogue tv)

You might want to get that cable sorted

And its looking like youll need to ~
Adjust the aerial your using now
    Use a booster
or get a new roof aerial (best choice by far) fitted
