Would like a cheap cruise early 2009

Hi there
I am looking for a cheap cruise somewhere hot early 2009, for 1 adult & 2 children aged 7 & 5.
Earliest date I can go is 28th December 2008.
Dates I can't go are 31st January, but, any time late Feb or even after Feb would be ok if it's a good enough deal.
It's my sisters 50th Feb 9th & she's having a party around that time date to be arranged.
I am happy to fly from Gatwick/Heathrow or depart from Southampton.
Ideally I would like to get a bargain on one of the better cruise lines, have found a 9 night caribbean cruise on celebrity which works out £2400, this is a bit too much for me, was hoping to get something under the £2000 mark.
I think I'd prefer a bigger ship, with more facilities & obviously good child care & activities for them as well.
Shame I can't go before xmas as some real bargains at the mo, but if anyone
can help I'd be very grateful.

Dont know what you think to ocean village but they have offers in january for 2 weeks in carribean pay for 2 people and the other 2 people in the cabin go free, i got a price of £2200 for 4 from manchester on an ee deck in an outside cabin, so if you go from gatwick no flight supplement and have an inside cabin it should be cheaper than that, also think ov cater very well for kids.0

back on 1st Nov, the Saturday telegraph travel section had a huge article all about cruises and the amazing deals that were about due to the credit crunch, perhaps you maybe able to find the article on line as it gave contact details of the various companies who were doing deals0

4th Jan NCL jade 12 nights med from Barcelona its the one we are on.
there are other dates I priced up on the NCL UK site at £1900 for a 3berth (no insides) but then there are flights on top.
Try the 15th Feb date £1600 include tips(£234) and fuel of £162 which might get refinded, US site is $2300 Without tips.

Last time I looked(when we booked a week ago) BA flights from LHR were around £100pp0 -

A few agents should be able to shave a good couple of hundred off the ncl.co.uk price I know cruise365 and theCruisestore had some excellent offers on even on A2-A3 grades I nearly booked one for March
Pity the dollar is so low we saved over £1000 booking with an American agent and paid in full back in SeptemberIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0 -
