Sky Customer Services .... Grrrrrrr

Oh my God !!! Where do I start :mad:

Yesterday I received a card in the mail offering me half price Sky Sports and Movies for 3 months.
Spoke about it with hubby and decided to call them today to activate the offer !!! None of the 01506 numbers are working, so I had to call the 0844 one :mad:
They cut me off TWICE !!! after holding for 15 minutes each time.

Third time lucky....after fifteen mins again, someone answered went through the whole checking procedure....told me I was eligible ( of course I am .... the card says so ) But then he informed me he can only give me sports....the movie offer doesnt start til tomorrow !!!

I am now going to have to endure another bout of hanging on the phone waiting to get connected.

He also told me the cards were sent out too early. But thats not my fault.....its Skys !!!

    I dont get wound up easily.....but its the same every time I try to contact Sky !!! When I am paying 5p per minute plus a connection fee on the 0844 number and they keep me waiting then cut me off it does get frustrating.

    They are not giving me anything for free either. I am still paying - just getting it half price which is still gonna be £36 a month !!!

    Just some common descency from major companies like Sky wouldnt go amiss !!!

    I would have either given up after being cut off after the second time or phoned up another day

    Fair enough strategy, but would you not be a little bit hacked off that you had been kept hanging on for 15 minutes twice, then cut off both times? Especially since they were profiting from the call?

    I would say if that's a common problem (which it certainly was when I used to deal with them) then they need to take a look at how they deal with phone customers, regardless of how well or badly those customers deal with such annoyances.

    Thanks Chisme !!! Its more the fact that I am paying extra for the call and then they cut me off. I am going to try tomorrow and see where I get. It needs to be addressed by Sky. Other firms have got their act together and inform you how long you are likely to wait.

    As for half price .... the MOVIES and SPORTS are half price. I have to pay full price for the main package .... then add on the half price channels to the total ....equalling the £36 !!!
  • There c/s does tend to vary, I signed up for the half price sports earlier on today, got through in no time - whole phone call only lasted 3/4 minutes.

    well said laura but pointing that out to d.edna is a waste of time once they know they have told a user they are talking crap but is proven that user is right he dont answer and moves on to someone else to tell them to shut up ect

  • I got a leaflet through from Sky today, offering me the £5 a month for 3 months, movie deal.

    Phoned them up and the indian lady said it wasn't live yet. Had a bit of a discussion about it and she ended up giving me a credit on my bill of £33 for the next 3 months so it basically works out the same, well pleased :D

    Sky CS is v v poor, Ive never had an easy chat with them, the times ive contacted them have always been difficult so i can sympathsise with the OP

    Quick update for you all - I called them Monday while I was home during the day. I used the 01506 number and got through right away !!!
    Spoke to an Indian lady who told me that she couldnt access my account as my home number wasnt providing any details !!! I gave her my home address etc and she traced me from that - to tell me that my mobile number was listed on the account - yet the guy the day before traced me via my home number.
    All very odd !!! Anyway, the offer was available and Sports and Movies are back until Feb :)
