Cheap weekend car hire?
Comments
-
We hired a car over Christmas (4 days)... it was a Corsa but had plenty of room! We also hired from Enterprise, including adding someone else to drive it (which we got for free as we had to wait a while) and the extra to reduce the excess to £50 instead of £500 it cost us £131 for the 4 days! I couldn't find anyone cheaper than Enterprise when I looked...0

Does anyone know of any better deals?
I have hired a Ford focus 1.6 Zetec with Hertz.co.uk for the past weekend, it cost me 61 pound (pre-payment price).
Check out Hertz.co.uk and use the Promotional Code - 504335 in the CDP number field, which would gives you an extra 10% discount. If you use Quidco.com cashback website to book it, it should gives you an additional 7 pound cashback. Plus you can always earn nectar points with Hertz.
I have just quoted it for you at Hertz.co.uk based upon your requirements. It came out that a weekend ford Mondeo 1.8 LX car hire would cost you 71 pound (pre-payment required) with the 10% discount, if you use Quidco.com for 7 pound cashback, it will bring the cost down to 64 pound over the weekend.
If you need a car for a week, then check out argusrentals.com (they use Europcar, but with a cheaper price) , and use Promotional Code - ebayargus for 10% discount. I have hired a brand new Renault Megane 1.6 (only 680 mileage) for 7days over the new year period, it cost me only 115 pound (but they do require 48 hrs advance booking).
I used to rent with enterprise.co.uk for about two years untill recently their Birmingham branch starts to play age restriction game with me (on the web, it says 25 years old driver is ok, but in the branch they require 26 age minimum), I am not happy with enterprise anyway.
Holp it is useful to you.

Where did you want to collect the vehicle from? Is it a UK rental?0
