Hi...sorry if there's a dedicated thread to this already, but I did a search & nothing came up--well, for the phrasing I tried anyhoo
Problem:- tv was fine up to around 2am then another offspring wanted to check roads for a journey so turned the tv on again around 10am. Lovely reds & blues [must be cold today cuz the weatherman was very blue :rotfl: ] but no green.
Query:- advice please on how/where I can look to compare energy ratings alongside price comparisons. I don't really hold much faith with 'high street' evaluations but will look at their prices once I've an idea of what model to go for.
Thanks.

You want a new TV because the green has failed? Not very cash efficient then. Have you re-seated all the input cables?0

Oh I'm sorry! I had thought it was evident I am not a television technician or I would not have posted here would I
I rarely wander to this side of the street, preferring to frequent Old Style, hence the bit about "energy efficiency" & "price comparison" so I'm afraid you're way off base with your assumptions I want to spend money TS
I had a dim recollection of once a colour leaving the screen, the unit was kaput. After your helpful replies, I now know there is something I can wiggle; if that should not work, what do you suggest I try next before calling TOD on the poor thing?
FYI it is second-hand & not something I chose to have in the house, but as it was also a gift it seemed chirlish to refuse. Neither was I aware that leads could come loose of their own accord so Thanks again...I'm off for a wiggle & I'll report back. xFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

Many Thanks Browntoa...turned into quite a mission one way or another, cuz while the telly was 'out' we decided to investigate the 'treasures' that had fallen behind the huge unit standing next to it
So that, in turn, led to a major dust-fest & almost spring-clean-like operation that took up most of the day :rotfl:
Pleased to announce the set is working fine now & the lounge looks incredible :TFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.
