Great to see a good gardening programme back on mainstream TV. The new BBC programme wild about your garden is excellent and has loads of useful info about getting wildlife, in particular, back into your garden.... and as we all know wildlife = natural pest control, saving loads on bug sprays and alike.

And here's the website for setting it up,

Going to try it myself later when I get time :j0 -
There is a good article in The Sunday Times today about the garden and how to tempt birds etc. into it. Our garden is almost an aviary now since we took down a huge conifer as it was surrounded by shrubs and trees (quite a few have berries too) and my OH put a concrete raft there. By using many different types of bird food around that circle left by the conifer we are seeing all kinds of birds. Also, we don't tidy up completely during winter which means the wildlife have lots of places to feed and root around. You wouldn't believe the noise from the nests. I hope the neighbours can hear it too!0

Got alot of cats about, which I think scare them off and I don't have any shrubs! Which I'm going to try and sort out this year... hopefully
