I have always had trouble getting accounts opened with BM, The last time I tried I had filled in all my details and at the end they said we will send you a application form! The application form never arrived, 2 emails I sent were ignored as were 2 letters, eventually the only way to get through to them was a letter to the Managing director, by then the bond in question had already been withdrawn, the stupid thing was that I already had a substantial amount saved with them!:eek:0

Although I had an online variable rate account, this was my experience first time around. Second attempt was straightforward.
Variable rate on Internet Saver 3 dropped from 5.99 to 4.42% AER this morning. Fixed rate deal was still on offer.

Yes, this only mentions a cut in variable rates:

I funded my fixed rate via my esaver account. I just called them up and they did it over the phone even though the forms said otherwise. Very easy.0

Interesting, how long after your fixed rate was opened did you do this? And was this before or after they'd received your initial (cheque or DD) deposit?

Hmmmm, given that the T&C's state "Additional deposits are permitted as long as the issue remains open", I guess this means I'll never be able to fund my 'just opened' account.....?Stompa0 -
Possibly... these things are always a bit of a gamble. I managed to get four deposits in over the course of a month. How long has this issue been open?
