Has anyone experience of a transaction actually leaving and arriving on a Sunday?

Faster Payments are "24 x 7 x 365". You can make a payment any time of any day.0 -
Faster payments cover 3 distinct elements :- 1. Immediate payments 2. SOs and 3. 'Diarised' bill payments.
Where fully operational :-
1 (Immediate payments) works all day every day.
2. (SOs) only works on Bank working days
3. (Diarised bill payments) ... is up to the Bank. Some will work every day ... some only Bank working days.If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -
Thanks for all the help guys and sorry for not posting back till now, i was busy sorting it out then had to go to work.
I bank with halifax by the way, and they wouldn't let me change by overdraft (it is already high though)
In the end i asked a friend who owed me £40 to ask her bank (alliance and Leister) to do a fast payment, which she did, even though they said it would be three working days, so i asked my mum if she could put £20 in my account and also found out the good news that she also banks with the halifax. Checked my bank online straight away and BOTH had gone in (within minutes)
So... problem sorted and the £58 fine saved! Ta everyone.0 -
Thanks to everyone - I've learned more about FPs !0
