hi my dad died last year and in his personal items i found a savings bank book in my name, it was opened with 10 shillings in 1968 and forgotten until now, any ideas how much it could be worth, and would there be much intrerest added if any after 40 years
thanks

Using and interest rate of say 5% tax free you would have £3.52...I think.0

Yeah it's £3.52.0

In the 1970's if I remember right, banks and building societies brought a rule into force where if there was less than £100 in your savings A/C you would be charged a managment fee to maintain the A/C. With what was in your A/C it sure would not have lasted long and would have been shut down.;)0
