Thailand Travel Insurance

I am traveling to Thailand in April next year for 2 weeks and am now wondering how much the travel insurance is going to be with all the problems they are having. Do you think I should wait until nearer the date to get the insurance and hopefully things get better or get it now incase things get worse? Know any good companies?

I'd wait till nearer the date. If it got much worse, I imagine you would think about cancelling all together. There's been a lot of unease in the Country for some years which comes to a head now and again, then calms down.

I worked there for some time a few years ago, and there was 'talk' of the dispute with Burma and it's borders coming to a head, but it calmed down quick enough.

Where are you looking at going to in the country?

If you want cover for cancellation (illness, etc) then take it out now, assuming you have booked.

You are probably already too late to take it out if you want it to cover civil unrest.
