the photo forms part of the overal description, it's not good saying in the text the size is 20ml etc. How many times have we all complained about the small print. I'd refund if I was you.

as the saying goes a picture is worth a 1000 words.
  • I find centre-aligned writing quite annoying to read. I may not be alone :)
    My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j

A couple of points in favour:-

The photo doesn't have a (visible) size of bottle on it. If it did then I would say the OPs goose was cooked.

Folk reading descriptions:- I sell mainly on Amazon and my descriptions are normally less than 10-20 words. Sold an item the other day and the first words were: "***Tatty box with slight tear***". Buyer needless to say comments on state of the box. I couldn't make it clearer.
  • I have had a look at the listing and personally, its very clear in bold type that the item is a 20ml bottle and not a full size one, I don't really sell on ebay myself and nearly always buy and am very careful to read item descriptions before I bid, too many people get carried away in the bidding without reading things properly and I think ebay is getting too biased towards buyers these days.

Having said all that, I would offer the buyer a refund if they return the item to you unused and intact and cut your losses on this one with you having so little feedback so far, but state you will only offer a partial refund minus your P&P costs, you can always then relist the item as there were plenty of other bidders. Personally speaking I nearly always buy from sellers these days who offer refunds if unhappy (and I have as yet never had to return an item).

I would also for the future take on some of the advice offered above regarding listing your items for sale
