We currently had a BG examination and they failed our downstairs gas water heater as it's yonks old.
So i'm after a new one - any idea where i can go or buy on-line?
The current water heater caters for 2 sinks and is called Valiant
Cheers

ps.
you can get an electric one for approx half the price of a gas one.Get some gorm.0 -
And it will have half the output and cost twice as much to install, assuming its even a suitable location for an electric appliance.
Stick to gas, get an rgi in to advise you making sure they have water heaters listed on the back of their CORGI cardMine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D0 -
What were their reasons for saying it is no longer servicable?
I would be wary of BG writing things off.
I would get a second opinion from a trusted CGI, it may only need a repair.
Good Luck. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
something being yonks old is not good enough reason to classify it as dangerous. Is your water heater flueless? Can we have a picture? what reasons were given? We currently had a BG examination and they failed our downstairs gas water heater as it's yonks old.

sparkys charging twice as much as a corgi man? give me a break.
Oh sorry, didn't realise that it was a suitable location and all the electrics were already in place just waiting for the new electric heater to be put in! Also you will still need an RGI to cap off the old gas supply, figure about £500 for that cos they are all rip off merchants. No doubt you could buy a multipoint from your secret suppliers for a fiver:rolleyes:Mine needed a new fan so that must be whats wrong with yours:D0
