John Lewis Price match on Sony TV

I bought a Sony TV from the John Lewis store in Southampton prior to Christmas, well aware of their price match promise.
I have been searching the local shops for a better price since the sales started. Today I found a local retailer some £65 cheaper, so rang the store to claim. After taking a few details, the assistant advised me they were doing an even better price match with Comet, taking £96 off the bill! Even better!
The TV was a Sony KDLS32A12 32" LCD television and Comet's current price is £1299, in case anyone else has bought one.
Of course the John Lewis one came with a 5 year warrenty as well - good result and well done to John Lewis for matching their promise.

I can vouch for JL's service. We bought a TV from them and it failed just before the 5 years warranty expired.
They allowed us the full amount that we'd paid against a new TV, and the TV we chose was the last one the had of that model so was ex-display, and they reduced it by 10%. So we got a brand new Sony TV priced at £500 for less than £100.0
