Converting vhs to dvd

My dad is looking to buy an all in one video/dvd player so that he can convert his old videos to dvd easily.
Can anybody recommend a good one? I think he would find it a lot easier to use an all in one piece of kit rather than play around with a dvd recorder and his old vhs player.
Any help is much appreciated :-)

If he can use a PC, a much cheaper alternative would be this:

You would need a DVD rewriter on the PC to burn the resultant DVD, but these have been going for £14.99 + £7.99 p&p, which is cheaper than anywhere I've seen on the Web.0
