FREE PARKING at Blackpool Airport

From 5 January you can park at Blackpool airport for Free! 16 and overs need to pay a £10 fee to travel through the airport....do the maths. A family of 4 (incl 2 under 16's) pay £20 to travel through the airport and you get 2 weeks parking included!!! Jet2 have loads of flights and holidays.........

You pay to pass through the airport whether or not you choose to park, so the parking is absolutely free. I'm going to take advantage of it.

And if you don't park a car - you still pay the extra.... Blackpool Airport will come a cropper on this one when people find out - it' a con.

Name any other transport hub that charges you for using the facility as you pass through?

'Ahh you mean you want to walk through Lime Street Station to Join the Virgin Train?? - That'll be £5 please...' Sound unbeliveable - but that's what Blackpool airport are doing!

I have used the airport in the past (and paid to park there) I like it as its quick easy to use and feindly. But I will not be taken for a ride BEFORE I get on the plane - See you when you drop the charge BLK!

I live in Blackpool and we are all 'up in arms ' about this charge ! we get someone to take us or get a taxi, I wouldn't like my car parked at the airport while I was away !
What about those who don't even have a car ?

That's the whole point, you don't currently pay anything to 'pass through ' the airport

Newquay airport: £5 'airport development tax'
Norwich airport: £3 'airport development fee'

We have no car and travel regularly from Blackpool airport. This new charge will cost us £20 every time. We gain nothing.Ryanair have pulled out because of it.
