I would like to invest some money for my child's future education etc...

Eddy, I think you'll find it will be difficult for people to give opinions (as opposedto advice) as there are a lerge number of other factors to be considered.
For example:
Age of the child?
How many years before the child has rights to access the money?
Do you want to retain approval over how the mone is spent?
Are you financially 'ok'?
Do you have a lump sum or are you looking at an amount each month?
Have you considered CTF?
Are you financially savvy or would you descrive yourself as a novice (investment wise), i.e. would you feel comfortable making investments decisions?
What is your attitude to risk?

The child is 1, we are financially ok and would like to invest a fix amount every months until the child needs the money. we've already invested in the CTF but thought there must be a "low risk" way of making the money grow over the next 18 years or so.
