I was wondering if there's any good places to look for bargain canal holidays - I doubt it but thought I'd ask on the off chance ??
Thanks in advance

Hi
A good place to start is -
http://www.waterscape.com/
Its a website run by British waterways who are responsible for the 2000 miles of canals in this country.
Canal / boating holidays aren't particularly cheap, can cost up to a £1500 for a week in the summer holidays.
Some operators here :-
http://www.anglowelsh.co.uk/
http://www.sallyboats.ltd.uk/
http://www.black-prince.com/
http://www.silversurfers.net/holidays-canals
http://www.hoseasons.co.uk/
I'd recommend the Kennet & Avon canal, lovely scenery & plenty of canalside watering holes !!

You can sometimes get good value short breaks by taking a boat from where it has been taken back to the base but you will be restricted by the route and also probably the time you can take,
Sometimes private owners advertise on Ebay0
