Doesn't look like it's covered by the British FSAC scheme.

I'd be more inclined to go for the Bank Of Scotland

  • I like the idea of BOS but....
Please note: Rates of interest are subject to change, to check effective dates for all our Savings products please see our Interest Rates section.

This is quite worrying to me as I want to be sure that I actually get the stated interest rate and not the possible new rate they apply on Monday.

    Oh and this..
No withdrawals or additional deposits - after account opening

I can't put the whole lot in this account until Jan 1st onwards as i'm waiting for the bonus from the Bonus Saver. Just want to get an account setup (£500 initially is fine) and then move the rest next year.

I'm wondering whether i'm just over worried but I fear that the interest will be awful next year.

    cheers

You can ring them tomorrow, they are open.
I found them very helpful and they should be able to tell you if you will be guaranteed the rate.

If your money will be available on Monday, you may be able to get the rate by going into a branch and depositing your cheque first thing Monday.
