Hi,
I'm looking for help.....My mum has just given us her old freeview box.
The only channels we can get are bbc ones? Do we need to upgrade our airiel? For all other channels it just says no signal
Was really looking forward to it working.
Thanks in Advance Sarah

Probably yeah, if you're in a poor signal area, freeview will struggle. The fact that you get a few channels suggest you are - I can't get any freeview channels.
If you can connect it to a roof aerial, even better - otherwise you may need a signal booster.
Buy one from Argos or somewhere, if it don't work, just take it back0 -
Thanks for your quick response

Hi sarah ,
check the signal strengh and the availabilty of your mothers freeview here
http://www.freeview.co.uk/availability
Just put the postcode and number in and that would tell you if she can receive them.
If she can , then i think its a problem with the aerial, plugging it into the outdoor aerial works best but if you can't i use this amplified ariel which works great for me.

£20 from argos , never had any problems , just a little bit of fiddling at first to find the perfect signal , but afterwoulds , it works wonders
Hope this helps
 I am great , yes I am

If you think I was useful , Thank you, for thanking me
