PIP26, after postin that I looked it up and 2bh the skate is cheaper @ kew than Canary Wharf, where I was gona go. but this freebie of the gardens just makes it a nicer trip with the added skate. at least u dont have to buy the tics through t.master with added fees.

Everyday is a gift, thats why they call it the present.
  • Remember to check with Southwest trains as they operate the line to Kew. My information is that they will operate a Sunday service - BUT it is a bus journey between Clapham and Barnes because of major rail works in the Clapham area.
  • Thanks everyone. I went along to Kew and had a brilliant day. What a beautiful place and great to see so many children enjoying it. It was pretty crowded (especially in the cafes) but everyone was being cheerful and friendly. Definitely recommended.

We weren't so lucky - we drove down there yesterday but the roads for about a mile around Kew were completely choked with traffic and we couldn't even get parked anywhere, so we turned around and came home again. Boo hoo :(

You know...it used to cost 3d to get into Kew Gardens.
  • This was a fantastic day, I took my 11 year old son as his mum (oh) was at work and we had such a wonderful time, we live near Kew and we drove up got there around 12:30 found a street the other side of the train station and walked over to the gardens, the only prob was the cafe's, the q's were massive, took a pass out went to a shop got drinks etc and went back in.
Overall it was a great start to 2009
