Having seen the TV ad now I'd say it's clear enough that it's only the dock, but the advertising hoardings are definitaly misleading. You'll make my day if I know I've been helpful to you in some small way,
so please press my :T thanks :Tbutton x

Im pretty sure if you stop and examine the billboard it will have it written somewhere possibly in tiny lettering.0

you will be right, still misleading though, as you are driving past the billboard, all you will see is a picture of a dock, with an ipod in it, and no doubt big letters next to it saying save ?, wont have time to get the binoculars out to see the 10mm sentance which says ipod not included, , daveTake every day as it comes!!0 -
I agree with the OP - it was on a small roadside billboard in the centre of a busy main road leading out of Manchester when I saw it yesterday, as I drove home - there was nothing visible to say anything about it being the "dock", only that the price was 50% off, at £74 - which is about there or thereabouts for the new IPODS - and the phrase "ISAVE" in large letters to me, indicates that it refers to the IPOD!!
I haven't yet seen the tv advert & therefore I did the same as many others & immediately tried to locate it online as soon as I got home. I obviously realised what it referred to, when I found the dock, but it is really, really misleading & I totally agree that Trading Standards should be made aware.
Whether or not there is "tiny lettering" indicating it is the dock & not the IPOD itself, it should not be used in conjuction with the phrase "ISAVE" & shown with the price next to the IPOD on the picture!!
Thats just MHO!Everything I wanna do is either illegal, immoral or fattening! lol :rotfl:0 -
the tv advert is totally different to what we're talking about, that it clear.
The poster is not, and is misleading. lets not get the two confused.0 -
I too seen his advert on a bus stop in Glasgow City Centre, I didnt even notice the speakers/dock on the poster, nevermind the fact thats what the price was for, as the bright large ipod and big red circle price were more dominant, so I only just realised today what the true price was for by visiting here after a search!! Defo a bad advert, hopefully has been reported to ASA!0
