been trying to call all day, it's either call back later, please hang up or you wait on hold for ages! tried the say no to 0870 numbers, they don't really world either :mad:

01422 380880 switchboard worked for me a week or so ago when I needed their savings people.After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.0

Had the same problem with Alliance & leicester. Basically if your applying for a loan you get through straight away. But if your doing the opposite like querying a mortgage for example you hang on for ages. I got round this by putting my mortgage query in writing to the Alliance & leicester which they were obliged to answer by personal letter. I point out to them that basically I cannot get through and would like my reply in writing.0
