    When you open the Halifax Web Saver Reward online you get the roll number automatically.

    If you're with a bank that uses faster payments, you can transfer the money that way in time.

    Yes, but from Truly's first post, s/he implies that they don't have Halifax accounts at the moment, and it takes about a week to register for online banking so doing it online would take too long. This is why I suggested phoning.

    Took me half a week when I recieved all my info. I imagine if he phones up and says (or goes into branch?) they could most probably get the details sooner and pay into it by then.

    After you have completed the application for the account online it gives you the roll number and suggests paying in at a branch as an option.

    You don't have to wait for online banking to be set up. Hope that's clearer.
