im confused by DELL OUTLET can anyone explain

some of you may have seen my previous posts over the last few days,,in a nut shell,,found a great spec desk top at what i concidered an excellent price on the dell outlet site, ordered it, didnt receive any confirmation email until today (36 hours after ordering).When i check the order status, it says "in production" and delivery not until 9th december. I was under the impression that all the systems on dell outlet are already built and are either returns or cancelled orders, so how can the one i ordered be in production? this is a 320gb hd 3gb ram 2.2ghz duel core 3072mb ram and the price i paid was £220 with the money off offer and free delivery, if you configure it on the main dell website it works out to £390. have they made a mistake and advertised a system that wasnt actualy physical so had to honour it

I bought from the Dell Outlet recently too. I suspect that, as these are returns, although already built they get inspected, tested and refurbished (if necessary) after you buy, hence the lead time. My saving was of a similar magnitude from the price of a new-build of the same configuration.

then clicked on the inspiron "start shopping" and a list of current sysems comes up, then i clicked where it says "price" and it sorts into cheapest first. the system i ordered was amongest other machines with 2048ram but was only £5 more so i bought it. They have an offer on at the moment where after youve put your order in your shopping cart you click "buy now save voucher" and get another £55 off, they also got free delivery at the moment.
