Casestudy for the Sunday Times

The Sunday Times has asked us to post this casestudy request for a story it is doing this weekend:

The Sunday Times is writing an article on the practice of the banking industry and credit card companies. We are particularly interested on whether the injection of public funds has changed attitudes in the industry. One criticism has been that despite reduction in interest rates, some overdraft rates and credit card charges have gone up. We would be interested in anyone who might be willing to speak to us who have been adversely affected by such charges.

Please contact Jonathan on 020 7782 5686 if you are interested.

Perhaps the Times would be better off understanding that those rates have no correlation with the BoE base rate, and instead are based on risk of those using such products.

Even mortgage rates aren't based on the BoE rate.

Yes but taking that view won't make a juicy story though
