17" Flat Screen Monitor BENQ

Have a monitor that suddenly does not want to work.
The power light is on so no problem there but not a flicker from the screen itself.
Is it worth getting fixed or just buy a new one. Hate waste but if the costs the same, may as well get new.

Do the fan and lights come on when you power the PC up?
Have you checked the cable between the PC and the monitor?
If so the backlight in the screen may have gone but this seems to be rare
    How old is the monitor?

if it is deceased like the Norwegian Blue Parrot here are some choices from around £63 + Vat
