I use Broderbund. I believe it is sold in Pc World Etc. I bought mine in the states which came with social security discs - Pretty useless in the UK but it is an excellent programme. You can import and export, Print tree info in numerous styles and it has a clever "relation" finder section where you can select any member of your family whether dead or alive no matter how connected or unconnected they are and it will tell you the relationship between them... Excellent when you have that "is it 3 times removed" conversation. You can als put pictures in and it allows multiple marriages... step kids and pretty well everthing you will need
  • I use Legacy family tree maker which is freeware. Not sure of the website, but I'm sure a google search will come up trumps.

  • Hi!

For beginners I would suggest Family Tree Maker, which is pretty friendly... PAF (Personal Ancestry File) is free and a full program available for download from https://www.familysearch.org.
