My fault, first Valentines, almost 12 years ago, when things were fresh and exciting and I was desperate to impress I purchased bottle of said perfume.
Never been able to pack in the tradition. As a bloke you can't suddenly drop from the good stuff to Super Drug perfume/fly killer. Life would then become totally unbearable.
In these hard times have, however, have given serious consideration to some covert watering down.In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
Missed your question about the cycling adey yesterday. It must have been an end of pager.
Had a meeting to attend this morning but got back again in time to head out again on the bike this afternoon.
The 40 mile route on Saturday normally takes about 2 hours 10 minutes. Didn’t bother with the cycling computer on Saturday but would have been a bit slower than that because of the ice and because I don’t tend to be at my fittest at this time of year. It’s quite hilly around here so the average speed can vary quite a bit depending on the gradients and the quality of roads.
We’ll have to all cycle up to the Cat and Fiddle if that meet up takes place. Actually there is an annual cycling event that takes in the Cat and Fiddle nearly did it a few years ago.
Just a tip if you are going for the 8000th post remember to factor in that SF will probably delete at least two posts so try and go for 8002. :rotfl:
Just off to the supermarket to get supplies in.MSE. Abandon hope all ye who enter here0 -

I could never run much faster than 6 minute miles for only 5 miles. The pro marathon runners run about 5 minute miles for 26 miles! Until you have ago yourself you don't realise how incredible they are. I'm sure it's the same in cycling. In memory of Chris Hyde #8670 -
