    I think I remember the episode was it a row of terraced properties where each were done separately? Each had a different front wall?.

    Nope, sorry I meant just one house - about 6 houses down from us. We knew the couple, they were Romanian (he of the Aldi-with-an-Audi fame). The lady (Crina) was interviewed at harrow-on-the-hill station. The garden was "done" with 4 big blue/white-spirally-painted posts around it! they've now left and tenants crammed in...a bit sad as it won't be maintained.

    I was watching a programme last night about the 1929 Wall Street crash and the aftermarth. Some of the bits were scarily familiar. I hope it doesn't go that far but I think I'll just pop down the shops to stock up on tinned soup.:eek:
