Checked didn't post at all. Over to mum and dad's today. Mum is 85, doesn't look a day over 70, I hope longevity is hereditary. It was actually her birthday yesterday, but they cannot be disturbed on Sundays, to fixed in their routine. Pub lunch, taking step daughter with us, looks like she needs feeding up since leaving home. Then to a mates just diagnosed with the big C, must get my DVD's back

. Then somewhere in between a Morrisons run to replenish the anaesthetic cupboard. Should be back for high tea.

Prime Minister Geir Haarde announced the immediate resignation of his cabinet, after talks with coalition partners broke down. Iceland's financial system collapsed in October under the weight of debt built up during years of rapid growth. The currency has since plummeted, with unemployment soaring.
