too true ami -same up in the north east coalfields -I do not why but Thatcher just wanted to destroy the coal mining indusrty -very shot sighted even now we should have an effcient coal ming indusrty -not open cast but those stupid greenies try to stop it --we need it bring it back -technology exisits for clean burn generation .

Sad thing really we had arranged to get married in Whitby 7 years ago, I love Heartbeat. Had booked the Registry Office, photographer etc, and a 2 weeks stay in Robin Hoods Bay. I'd been given permission to get wed in uniform. A week before the big day I was badly injured at work, and never wore the uniform again.
