Hi,
i've tried reading this section to make a decision, but the more I read the more confused I get. I just don't know which one to get.
ofcourse, in true moneysaving style, I don't just want to jump intyo one and worry about the consequences later. I've never ever had a card before so need some advice on what to get.
my needs are to just have a card to buy stuff so I can spread the payments. I'm not in debt or anything, but just need a method of spreading the payments, but without paying any interest. I would always pay the balance of so as to not incur any charges or interest.
I'd also like to increase my credit score.
What shall I get? As a basic starter, i'm not to bothered about 0%, because I never intend to incur interest. I'm not too fussed about small limits as well, I don't intend to by anything over £500.

Hi there,
Well I would personally still go for something with 0% on purchases - just in case. Halifax are offering a card with 0% purchases for 10 months I think and if you are a member of Quidco (the cashback site) and you apply through them you can earn £20 cashback for it! xCredit Cards at 0% £958.00Credit Card at 19.9% £2305.65Total Debt: [strike]£6290.76[/strike] £3263.65DFD: Dec 090 -

I agreed. I am Halifax CC customer since 2004, and got it in the age of 18 as primary holder. You can easily get the card if you do your banking with them because they did not do any credit check on me. What they did in the branch was they just press few buttons and said the card will be with you within 7 working days, it took only less than 5 mins and then they photocopy my ID.0 -

It is only a 0% Credit Card where you can spread the payments without paying interest (for a limited time).
On every other CC you have two choices: you either pay the balance off, month after month, and do not incur interest;
or, if you carry part of the balance over to the next month, then you will be charged interest.0 -

Is there a best comparison site for comparing credit cards? I want a new credit card and I've been using http://www.compareandsave.com/money/credit-cards/compare-credit-cards/ and http://www.moneysupermarkt.com but they seem to have different offers and I want to make sure I get the best deal, but don't really want to check 100 different comparison sites to find it (because then I might as well just go to the separate credit card sites directly!)0
