prepaid card (cashplus) and transfers to (bacs/faster payments)...

I bought a cashplus card to help me budget better.

My boss transfered my wages by faster payments (which i believe is same day) on wednesday this week for £1400. Today nothing was showing on my card so i phoned them, they told me they will trace the payment and if its there they will credit it.

I asked my boss to ensure it went through, and he called his bank and asked and they said they could see an acceptance message, meaning the funds had cleared into cashplus account.

I just called cashplus back as still nothing on, and they told me even if the funds are there, it can take upto 5 working days to credit, i told them but it was a same day payment, and you can see the funds are there, so why cant you credit it today? She told me its policy and i knew this when i signed up.

Now, i thought the whole upto 5 working days thing, was just incase to make sure it arrives, i.e if its been sent by bacs then it will take 3 days etc, now im under the impression that even if you send the money on a monday and they KNOW its there on the same day, they still wont credit it until basically, they can be bothered.

Does anyone have any experience with these cards, and the same sort of issue? i dont know why they would do that as all its made me decide is to stop using them after this month (the first month!) and go back to using my bank.

Any advice appreciated.
