It's not a scam, it just proof that you should shop around before handing over your cash blindly.

  • Its called marketing - EVERYONE does it, not just Tesco's.

next time, when you find something you want to buy - do the research FIRST. You are at least lucky that Tescos allow you to eturn it for a refund, they don't have to.
  • And never ever ever ever go by the rrp of any thing.
  • Are you happy with the price you paid for it? It doesn't matter if they were claiming it was £500 off, you should make a purchasing decision based on your opinion of the item relative to the price being asked.
My advice would be to return it and buy a Henry for about half the price.
  • I paid £219 for the same one from price drop tv so I think you got a bargain and that was delivered on Tuesday just gone, shame I've used it or I would have sent it back!
If this has helped you please don't forget to click Thanks, thankyou.

When will people learn to ignore "50% off", "£100 off", "Free TV Stand" etc. Shops aren't in business to lose money. Get real and ignore the "Sale" hype!! Simply compare prices. There's no such thing as a real "SALE" now. All the shops put their prices up for the statutory period and then claim masssive reductions. It's all a game.

No, they didn't get a bargain. Unfortunately, you were ripped off. Why on earth do you watch these channels? For a bargain?
