I have been trying to update Quicktime and install Itunes but it keeps failing ! Very frustrating the error message I get is "A portion of the path 2is invalid. It is either empty or excedds the length allowed by the system"
I did not change the path name so was using the one it was trying to use !
I tried to remove Quicktime thinking I could try and re-install it but it wouldn't let me remove it either giving me the same message as above !
How can I get it so I have both lattest version of Quicktime and Itunes running on my laptop which ? (os is Vista)

This might seem crazy !? BUT ;
1-Shut down the mac
2-Count to 5 seconds after the mac's turned off
3-Turn on the Mac
4-run SOFTWARE UPDATE ??
You'll be surprised how often this works ;-)

ps- APZAPPER is free and will totally erase any prog you want on a mac just in case you want to remove anything ?0 -

Looks like its become corrupt somehow
Have you tried uninstalling or installing over the top in 'safe mode'?:idea:0 -
Download the file ready to your desktop
reboot and keep pressing F8 as soon as it begins to power up
select SAFE MODE
and take it from there (try uninstalling first, then try installing over the top if that doesnt work)
Failing that its worth looking to see if your machines infected
