Dont bother with Setanta just have a look at this thread

I know at first hand from last year how difficult it can be to cancel but still seems pretty good for a quid?!?0

Setanta have developed a good sports package, in my view, but it is being undermined in my experience, by an ongoing failure to provide good customer service.0

Do Not touch this company with a barge pole:eek:
You have been warned;)I am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
Please do not enter into any agreement with Setanta - they are crooks!
We had so much trouble with them taking (stealing) money out of our Bank for 6 months after we cancelled the contract.0 -
might be worth getting to watch the tigers slide down the table :shhh:0

starting tommorow against the mighty potters0

I've written to Setanta twice and telephoned them 3 times concerning a sequence of errors they've made, which led to me being overcharged and my viewing being suspended on 2 occasions.
In return, I've received a barrage of phone calls and letters, culminating in a letter warning me that they may pass a "debt" to a debt collection agency.
It reminds me of my obligations under the subscription agreement, whereas the fault is Setanta's failure to meet their own obligations.
They fail to respond to letters, e-mails, online messages etc. and then proceed as if they are the injured party in the agreement.
As I indicated earlier, I think their sports package is good, but just wish that the sport I wish to see could be easily accessed through a business who treats its customers properly.0 -
There is a well document thread regarding the cancellation process on Setanta here

The Daily Mirror did this offer last year at the same time, which I took advantage of, they key is to follow the cancellation instructions to the letter, which I did, had several phone calls offering to extend the deal at half the normal monthly price, then cancelled as per the instructions. Guess I was in the lucky minority as it all passed off smoothly0 -
I took a similiar offer before, and to cancel i just cancelled the direct debit a week before the promotion ended.
Setanta sent me a letter a few days later stating as i had cancelled my direct debit they had cancelled my subscription - end of.
I wouldn't hesitate to take up a similar offer again.0
