Both outstanding bottle conditioned beers, so will have small amount of sediment in.
The pale is also availble on draught.
Better than most beer in the UK.
I have tried both. The former reminds me of Worthingtons White Shield(?) a little. I love those hoppy Kentish ales and you don't get anything like that in these parts.
Never mind, I saw a bottle of wine a mate and I used to buy when we were students for GBP15/btl (Penfolds bin 707, 1993) going for $599!!!! I'll have to save up.0 -

£15 bottles of wine when a student!!!!
Lorks! Wish I'd known you. My student loan only stretched to £1.49 bottles of "fortified wine" from Lidl. A particular crime my tastebuds have never forgiven me for. _pale_0 -
At uni meetings and socities, we got "Jeremy Bentham Table Wine". Choice - red or white.
There was a general and strong suspicion that it came from the stuff used to embalm his body. Tasted like it, anyway....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

It was a once/twice a term thing. We'd sit in these appalling surroundings and eat very well cooked grub (cooked by either one of us) washed down with a decent bottle. Then we'd go out and drink a million pints of cheap lager and try to pull with varying degrees of success.0
