    Hi,
is 250,000 the kind of price they have gone for in the past?
It is only at 29,000 at the moment so I thought I might have a good chance, I didn't think it would even be possible for anyone to have that many points? But then I didn't do this last year so I don't know what kind of bids are being put in on these items.

    Thanks

Without sounding too harsh, it's people like this:

    http://www.thisislocallondon.co.uk/news/weird/display.var.575809.0.no_breaks_for_kitkat_fan_with_100_000_bars.php

And people already on this thread that ruin this promo. Nestle Laugh because they have a mass surge in slaes, and still nobody gets anything!
  • The whole promotion is a joke i am bidding on items i don't really want and i still can't win

Will never ever do this again Fact End of

Wow i won an item a bloody Gift set just not willing to spend any more money getting points now, so a xmas present sorted for someone :rotfl:

I'm not sure I agree - if Nestle do a promotion, they're not doing it for the consumer they are doing it to increase sales.

It's up to each of us as a consumer to decide whether or not the promotion is worth while, and in the case of the guy from last year he seems to have done alright by it!! I'm not sure its fair to say he ruined it for everyone else, he was just the person that was willing to invest a lot of money in something that was actually quite high risk.

At the end of the day, its an auction and the items being sold are being sold at prices that someone thinks is reasonable, so to me that seems fair.

I was thinking of going for it this year, and trying to get one of those Expedia holidays, but I don't think I got the balls to invest all that money in Kit Kats!!

True, Nestle are gaining, the consumer is not. But basically, the average Joe, even one with 1000s of Kitkats still will not get anything.

    Just seems ludicrous- lol

I was still considering going for the Weekend away (about 80,000 points). If I had that number of points, do you think I would get it? Is there something I need to know that makes it harder than just having enough points?

Maybe I will just stay clear altogether!

It is very difficult to win the auction unless you have a fast computer and bid with about 3 seconds remaining

Does whatever you bid instantly go up to that value, or is it like ebay in that it intelligently increases your bid to a maximum?
