small income affecting tax credits?

Currently my husband works full time and I take care of our 2 daughters fulltime. we recieve some tax credits but I was wondering if I did something like Avon to bring in some extra cash will it affect our tax credits? say if I earned £100 a month would I recieve £100 less in credits therefore working for nothing! please advise

Normally it wouldnt affect your award in the current tax year but your current year income fugure will be used to calculate your award for next year.
It doesn't reduce £1 for £1, it is only 39p in the £1.
This means for every £1000 more you earn this year it will reduce your award for next year by £390.0
