in Credit cards
I am thinking about making a major purchase, 1200 pnds. The seller wants 600 pnds deposit up front with a 10 -12 week lead in time before he will have my order in from abroad where upon I would collect and pay for the goods. I not easy with this in the present eco climate and was wondering if I paid the deposit on my credit card my monies would be safe under section 75 should the seller fails to deliver etc etc. Any advice most welcome

Yes, as long as you pay for at least £1 of the total cost by Credit Card, your entire purchase will benefit from cover under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.0
