My parents purchased a Sony sat nav last year and it has never been updated. Apparently if they want to update it it will cost them approximately £60, think it was £59.99. Is there any way that they could get their sat nav updated for less?

Take it they will have to pay for the updates if they want them?
  • I bought a Sony sat nav from Halfords back in Jan... last month the software crashed spectacuarly. It was still in warrenty so I took it back to Halfords where they updated it for free, and this cured the problems.

So my advice to your parents is take it back to the purchase site and get them to update it... although as I pointed out to the kid behind the desk at Halfords a 10 month old sat nav shouldn't need updating just to function normally.
