hi all,
problems buying items online due to verisecure page not loading correctly.
-I am registered with verisecure (where you put a password into last page when making online purchase and it confirms purchase with a pre setup message)
My last 2 transactions have failed. -when the payment page directs me to the veri secure screen it iopens up a blank page , so i cant enter the required password to complete my sale.
I have rang my bank and they say it is an ISP problem??
I have never had any trouble with this before, so suddenly i am and it doesnt make sense.I have tweaked a few things on laptop but dont know what to permit to enable this security page to load...
Any advice would be appreciated.
regards

Try a different browser, I always have problems with it loading in Firefox, but in Opera it's always fine.

Time to ditch your bank if thats the advice they give
Unless you are having trouble accessing any web page, it is not down to your ISP
Most likely you may have tweaked your settings for Java
If you are using Internet Explorer (and you shouldnt be as its awful at things like this) download Firefox instead ( http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/ ). When you have installed it, open firefox and visit https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/ and search for "NoScript", install it and when you access your verisecure page, click on the icon down the bottom of the page that is a blue "s" with a no entry sign, and select "allow verisecure" - No more problems
Explore the add ons page for everything else you ever wantd a browser to do - you will never use internet explorer againFreebies you don't really need can be given to your local Hospice Charity shop so they can raise funds they desperately need. Pass on your good fortune :A0 -
Thanks for the advice, x
I dont feel confident enough to change to firefox or opera, sorry bit of a newbie ,but if you could advise me how to check my java setting to allow it i'd appreciate it.Got lots of internet shopping I want to do!
cheers

I promise you it is easier to change to firefox than it is to adjust your java settings back to the working standard. All you do is run the download and follow the simple instructions. Internet Explorer will not be removed, so you can use either or both. The best thing about firefox is its ease of use. Please try it. If you arent confident to install firefox, youll never understand instructions for repairing the java settings.
