Hi,
We are fitting our new kitchen out and come into a small problem. We gonna fit our sink but unsure of how much to cut out of the worktop.
The size of the metal bar going around is 1.5cms but when you add the clips is only goes back to 3.5cms.
Also we got a roll of sticky foam tape what is this for? There were no instructions in the box.
Its this sink http://www.plumbworld.co.uk/produckt-10-bowl-rounded-1781-17166
Thanks for the help

What kind of worktop is it? What kind of sink. I'll post assuming it is laminate & a typical stainless sink. This method is really a last resort if you cant' or don't have the fitting template. If possible return it & get another sink which has the instructions/template.
- Lay the worktop on 2 trestles (or similar) place the sink upside down on the worktop in the desired position.
- I usually centre the sink front to back
- Using a pencil draw a line all the way around the sink. (you might need to use a kids red colouring pencil or similar if its a dark w'top)
- Remove the worktop.
- Draw a 2nd line inside the 1st line. This is usually 8-10mm depending on the sink. Best certain way is to measure the underside of the sink edge to the vertical metal rim in mm, then subtract 3mm. Eg if the measurement is 12mm, subtract the 3mm = 9mm, draw your 2nd line 9mm inside the first line.
- At each corner, drill a 10mm pilot hole just inside your 2nd line.
- Using a jigsaw cut out along your 2nd inside line.
- Seal the 'raw' edge using waterproof PVA or silicon. This prevents water damage.
- Fit your worktop & sink.
Clearly let us know if the worktop or sink are different from that assumed as it will make a difference.
