Hi there,
I'm not sure if I'm on the correct board, but I'm hoping someone can give me a little advice.
I recently joined up with a website called: www.sellstudentstuff.com - I registered all of my old uni textbooks in the hope of making some money back on them. I had issues with the first couple of books I sold and posted, as the payment was delayed by the website. I contacted them several times, and did eventually get a response apologising for them being so busy and not able to handle their workload etc....
There is one last book which I posted at around 20th of September. The website policy is to pay out on the 1st and third Monday every month, but not until the recipient acknowledges on-line that they have received the book - which she didn't do until the 5th of November, which should have meant I would be paid on the 17th of November. As you can probably guess I still haven't received any payment from them (only for this last book, they did eventually pay up for the others), I originally thought it was likely to just be late again, but went on-line today to chase it up, and their site no longer recognises my log in details,
Even when I click on "forgotten my password" it just says that it doesn't recognise my e-mail address - even although I have e-mails to that address from them. In order to contact them through their site you have to log in, which it obviously isn't letting me do. And their on-line support function comes up with "on-line support is only available during working hours" - regardless of what time of day you try to access it.
I have an e-mail address for them, which I've just sent a message to, but it is the address they've always used to communicate with me, and on every e-mail it has the messgage of "PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE - CLICK HERE TO SEND A QUERY OR QUESTION" but when you "click here! - it diverts you back to their main site.
Basically, all I want to know is if there is anything I can do to claim back the money they've cost me (Not being the lightest, the textbook was about £15 to post!!!).
I'm suspecting I'm probably gonna have to put it down to bad experience and just write it off - it just makes me mad that companies are allowed to treat you like that!!
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
xx
