Switching suppliers. Are there other ways than switchsites
I find these sites unhelpful. At least for electricity.
At the moment I'm with Powergen and I'm paying the following:
-10.48 P/KWH daytime
-8.6 P/KWH day secondary units. Can somebody explain me what this is? Weekend tariff perhaps?
-3.35 P/KWH night
When I use a switch site, they ask me for my usage. My partner and I both travel a lot so this alters a lot.
I just need a site where I can find the tariffs that other companies charge. Is there one like that. Or does anybody know the best and cheapest electricity provider. Powergen is not bad but it has been increasing its rates a lot lately.

Guess you're quoting Electricity charges. You pay 10.48p/kwh for a fixed number of kwh/quarter (possibly 225) then you pay 8.6p/kwh for any more in that quarter. Looks as though you have an Economy 7 meter that switches in at night and charges you 3.35p/kwh.
I don't know of any website that presents all tariffs for all suppliers, number would run into hundreds. The switching websites have the main tariffs but keep them hidden so ask you for your location and either your annual spend or usage to make the calculation.
You can use the switching sites to give you the top 2 or 3 suppliers, then you can go to each suppliers website check the results.
Some people like the switching websites because they give an incentive to switch.
Cheapest supplier depends where you live as tariffs vary across the UK.Named after my cat, picture coming shortly0
