I thought that the £2.50 minimum spend was always on the small-print for using vouchers... Only a vague recollection, but I think that was always the case.0

Hi
It probably is buried in the small print, but how many people take time to read that. If the minimum spend is £2.50 and someone buys something less than that and doesn,t want the change they should just take the voucher and that will be the end of the matter. Customers always right and that sort of thing. Just seems really trivial.0 -

If the customer does not take the 2p change, the till will be out at the end of the day.Incidentally, tomatoes and peppers are classed as vegetables, so using a '20p off fresh fruit voucher' is pushing it a bit :rotfl:0 -
But tomatoes (and arguably peppers) are a fruit because they are seed bearing. I'd want to use a fruit voucher for the same reason and don't see why I wouldn't be completely within my rights to do so. I'd be backed up by Oxford University on tomatoes:

Unless of course Tesco sells a variety that's so genetically engineered that its now classed as a veggie... I knew there was a good reason to stick with my local greengrocer. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? A tomato and peppers chilli are ovaries and therefore a fruit. Perhaps the NEDs who work for Crapso do not know this botanical fact.Incidentally, tomatoes and peppers are classed as vegetables, so using a '20p off fresh fruit voucher' is pushing it a bit :rotfl:

Actually my 20p Veg voucher wouldn't go through on Tomatoes as they are classed as Salad by Tesco not fruit or Veg!0

so the moral of the story is??
Animal, mineral or vegetable,, or salad
click here to achieve nothing!0 -
But surely to use the £2.50 you have to spend more than £2.50 eg £4.37 otherwise it wont work0
