Personally I'm quite surprised gold has held up so well, yes there is a lot of market uncertainty, for which gold can be a hedge, but against this there has been a substantial rally in the dollar coupled with a collapse in near term inflation expectations. If that weren't enough we have every central bank and it's dog throwing massive amounts of cash at the economic problems, I would have expected them to be liquidating gold reserves to finance this. Still time will tell.Hope for the best.....Plan for the worst!

The headline describes it as "Analysis" but it looks more like vague wonderings in search of a story. This attack may have been the worst for some time but India is not unfamiliar with violent outrages.
On the final page he quotes the president of the Bombay Bullion Association: ' "The attacks won't make a difference as prices are too high. People have already bought at lower prices earlier," said Suresh Hundia'. So it seems to be his view against the wonderings of Ruchira Singh, the reporter.0
