Tesco are clearing the PLUS, which is not the E3 (videophone). By the way there has been some hacking sucess but precious little in the way of getting them to actually do anything of great use. They can't even be used as a phone unless you register.

I got given a new E3 (videomailer) at Christmas, but I dare not plug it in the phone line.

Apparently, the thing is useless until you plug it in. Once plugged in, you can get a sub-standard internet service, email, videophone, games etc. All this comes at a cost and pop up adverts, this is why these machines are heavily subsidised.

the amstrad phone has been reduced further i saw it today in tescos for £9.97 this was at the new oscott branch in birmingham.

I bought one of the older models off ebay for £7, got it working for about a month without the 20p per day charge for the adverts.

To get it working again I would have had to re-register it - not worth the bother. Gave it away.

Save your money!
