RYANAIR - Reclaiming Government Tax

I did book a Christams return flight from Murcia to Liverpool, which I booked on October 24th. However I had to fly back home early, so I booked another flight.

I then looked on Ryanairs website to see if I could reclaim any money, only to find that I could only reclaim my Government Tax, and that I hd to request this within 30 of booking that flight.

I found a template of a letter on here, so I changed the details etc... and sent this letter to the given address on the 11th November.

Still I have had no reply of Ryanair. I have read lots of posts saying that their customer service is shameful and that it is almost immpossible to get a refund.

HOWEVER, I had a thought. I booked insurance with another company. Would I be able to claim my Government Tax from my insurance company.

Any infomation would be greatly appreciated.

If by some miracle you do manage to get a reply, you will be told that to reclaim the tax on your unused flight you will need to pay an administration fee which is always equal to or more than the tax you are reclaiming. Don't waste your time on this any further.
