Only been doing this for a few weeks - but it's certainly helping me not over-buy stuff - so much less waste :)

    Hi Frugalswan
Sorry I have been offline for a couple of days.
I Usually cook the creole chicken for 6 hrs on low heat in the SC but it would take approx 40 mins in the oven.
    For 4 portions:
Rub 4 chicken breasts with creole/south American spice mix and place in casserole or SC dish. Add 1 tsp chopped garlic and 1 tsp chilli flakes to 1 tin chopped tomatoes and mix well. Pour over chicken breasts. Add 2 sliced peppers and a carton of sliced mushrooms. Mix it around a bit and cook.
I like to serve with noodles, rice or HM pot wedges.

I'm making beef stovies - it's sliced cooked beef, sliced onion, sliced potato, layered into a dish, covered in gravy and seasoned, and into the oven until cooked through and the top is crispy :D
